En Terre Outaouais is a volunteer citizens’ group whose goal is to establish the first natural burial ground in Québec, situated in the Collines-de-l’Outaouais.
En Terre Outaouais recognizes the natural cycles of life on earth and, in a relationship of reciprocity, wishes to honor the earth’s generosity by returning our un-embalmed bodies back to the earth at the end of our lives.
En Terre Outaouais endeavours to engage and inspire the local community through educational outreach and advocacy, offering resources to help citizens know their rights so they may plan for the most natural burial possible within current laws and available options in Quebec.
